The Gilroy's believe their artistic
talents and creative drive are a gift from God. Their Faith in
Jesus Christ compels them to share their abilities with others.
They both have been generous in giving of their time and talent to
design and create art projects for various peoples and
organizations. Some of these include schools, churches, various
ministries, local city government, drug and alcohol recovery facilities,
small local businesses, their local law enforcement, friends, family
and personal acquaintances.

Bible Mural
"In The Beginning God"... is a 12x17foot mural painted
by Betty Gilroy at North
Coast Church in Vista, California. The church is busy
most of the day, so Betty would go there to paint in the middle of the
night while the place was empty. She'd play music, turn it up loud and paint all night till people started coming to work in the
morning. Inspired by the subject matter and the music she
played while painting, Betty feels this mural very close to her heart.
She donated it to her church. |
Why We Share Our Gifts
It's pretty simple what compels us to donate our time
and talents.
The Bible states that Every
good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the
heavenly lights....James 1:17 The
Bible also tells us how Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for others, so
much so that he gave His life for us. That is pretty amazing to
us.
Our tiny little act of sharing our talents and gifts is
insignificant compared to what Jesus did for us.
We make a living using our abilities and are always
thankful for that. How fortunate we are to be able to do what we
love, to use the gifts God has given us in our daily work.
We both believe in God, Jesus Christ His Son and the
Word of God. He has taken our lives and given us purpose, faith
and opened our eyes to the truth of life, which is in Jesus. We're
not really religious people, we're simply Christians, two people with
hopes, dreams, ideas, abilities, interests, friends, family and all that
comes with being human. We are fortunate to have found the
truth and are now living in it. That is Jesus Christ.
For God so loved the world that
He gave His only begotten Son, that who so ever would believe in Him
would not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His
Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through
His son Jesus. John 3:16-17 |

Betty painted this for a Children's Sunday School classroom at her
church. The words on the banner that the children are
holding came from Bible verse below.
Psalm 139:13-18
For you created my inmost being; you knit me
together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully
and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full
well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in
the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the
earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for
me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber
the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.
God
Loves You!
